Introducing Rakeez: HR and payroll built for Egyptian real estate

Today we're announcing Rakeez, the first product to come out of predev. Solutions' own team — and it's built for a problem we kept seeing up close.

Real-estate companies in Egypt run across many branches, with commission-driven sales teams spread over dozens of locations. Almost all of them manage attendance, payroll, and commissions on spreadsheets that break the moment the business grows. Attendance arrives on WhatsApp, commission gets argued about every month, and nobody can reconstruct what last March actually looked like.

What Rakeez does

Rakeez pulls the whole operation into one platform:

• Multi-branch attendance with photo and location check-ins for agents on the move, including shifts that cross midnight
• Commission on its own clock — earned, due, paid — so an agent asking in July what they are owed gets an answer
• Leave, requests, documents, and Arabic contracts printed from the customer's own Word template
• Hiring, from a job post in the panel to an application arriving from the client's own website
• A mobile app that puts pay, leave requests, documents, and check-ins in every employee's pocket

What Rakeez deliberately doesn't do

It computes no statutory payroll — no social insurance, no income tax, no end-of-service formula, no net-from-gross. Those are the employer's accountant's work, under their professional responsibility. Rakeez records the result, keeps the history, and reports on it. The payroll sheet does one calculation: net minus deductions equals payable.

We say that to customers in writing before they sign. A product that quietly guesses at somebody's tax liability is worse than one that admits where the boundary is.

Why we built it ourselves

We spend most of our time shaping products for clients. Building our own forces us to live with every decision — the same discipline we ask of the teams we work with. Rakeez is where our "engage before the first line of code" approach meets our own roadmap.
